Look at this perfect puppets,
Their perfect masks,
Their perfect body,
Their perfect feelings,
Their perfect life,
Everything is broken!
Look at this broken puppets,
Their broken masks,

Everything is perfect!
RipHearken not to the words
Of the beauteous, ungodly saint,
Or linger like a swimmer
In coagulating paint.

Sharpest nails scrape the night.
Perfect cuticles in your day dreams.

Torn innocence.
Has all been lost?

There are many things that may be found,
Like insects, wormlings
But that sound...
It infiltrates the sodden ground
To penetrate the coffin bound.

The saint sings on,
Drowning out Nirvana.
So beauteous
yet so ungodly.

Tinkling notes can fill my soul,
but won’t touch it
never touches

Have no illusions
- What you cannot attain
Never truly leaves.
Our RealmAs far as I am aware of
And to the extent of my limited understanding
It is human nature to want to be right at all times
If this can be applied to all people
We can assume that from humanity arises two frames of mind
They are as follows:
Those that change their views to reflect their surroundings
And
Those that alter their surroundings to reflect their views

As far as I am aware of
And to the extent of my limited understanding
We live in a fragile realm that abides by its own rules
We who live in this realm are forever subject to these rules
Breaking these rules seems to be a futile effort
Ignoring these rules seems to lead to certain peril

Never left.
Breath laced with dust of sales,
Turn up the thermostat

Welcome home
We know it’s safe no matter what they say.
Those who digress: for money –
No contention

Welcome home
Our attack, defense –
minuscule, immense.
It’s different, what we do –

with money, cash and power
or clear the way for others

There exist two frames of mine that polarize one another
These are the states of being of feeling either special or insignificant
Most would claim that these states of being are completely separate
However I propose an alternate approach:
That we are simultaneously special as well as insignificant

As far as I am aware of
And to the extent of my limited understanding
It is important to feel special as well as insignificant at the same time
On the smaller scale we have our free will, deep thoughts as well as our complex emotions
On the larger scale the world is completely in
BlindedSome say that stars rise, but
Lucifer was a morning star,
And he fell, as we all know;
Fell and fell til he hit
The ground, dazed and numb,
Swallowing his raging words.

He now rises to the dais, nervous
Worried, questioning, doubting
What he is about to do,
Rightfully so.  We will learn
To hate him for this day.

His words thunder like a
Teautonic nightmare, viking
Storms, raging across the world.

He sees himself as a god, an
Aryan dream, but light - be it
Good or bad, is not darkness,
And so light will crowd out all
Else, burning, blinding, scalding.

And this is the legacy he left us
Left us hated for what he
Forced us to do, they cry, bu

Monsters and  Daemons rule the world!
Their names are Society and Conformity.
They  slice your heart with their rules.

They want you to follow their (crazy) rules!

But what normality is?

"A recent survey shows that 13% of Americans are satisfied with the job their government is doing. That being said, here comes SOPA." – Kevin Pereira, Attack of the Show (November 15, 2011)

It claims to be a champion of the people.
Here to support the common good,
To get everyone on its side.
But it has its missiles aimed at us,
At our cultural centers.

It has laser sights aimed at Google,
And tanks pointed at Facebook.
It has a bulls-eye on Youtube
And a stealth bomber over Twitter.
Torpedoes are locked on Tumblr
And C4s are strapped to ProBoards.

They also have nukes ready to strike
The heart of this country,
The Constitution, Freedom of speech.
Ready to go up in flames
Thanks to the folks behind SOPA.

The Stop Online Piracy Act?
You want to steal our rights
You guys are the pirates.

This is a poem I wrote a while ago after finding out about SOPA (the Stop Online Piracy Act), which is going through Congress. If it passes into law (God forbid), the government can shut down pretty much any website they want to if it hosts copyrighted content. Also, social media sites like those mentioned above will be in danger of being shut down if a user posts something that could be considered in violation. Don't these people in Washington have something better to do, like fixing the US economy?

The poem starts with a quote from Attack of the Show because that was where I really found out about SOPA and it really fit the topic.

Agreed. If this passes it will be like living in soviet union era Russia or communist chIna or Cuba.

If this passes what's next? Having the police break down your door and checking every inch of your house to make sure you're not violating copyrights?

I applaud this poem and any efforts to stop sopa and any similar bills in their tracks.

if there is any trace of diplomatic ability in the hellhole america is slowly becoming, the voice of the people will stop the scum that is sopa!

sopa, you can go rot in the pools of oblivion for trying to drag humanity into the dirt!

Amen :)

It looks like the SOPA bill's support is dwindling, which is good news.

Plus it looks like the mainstream media is doing a lot of coverage on it; I got done watching the NBC national news and they were covering it.

Basically they explained what it was, and why people were against it, which was a great thing. Hopefully all this media attention caused this kind of bill to go away and never be brought up again(although I know that won't happen).
